
MIT ID Innovation Programme is a one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Innovation that essentially combines Design, Technology, Business, and Humanities to develop a holistic approach towards Innovation. The course is approved by UGC and the batch size is limited to 25 Innovators-in-the-making only. The course is:
Graduates, practitioners, and entrepreneurs from various different disciplines across creative, technical, and social sciences backgrounds are welcomed to join The Innovation Programme. The Programme uses a student’s undergraduate discipline as well as their work experience, as the foundation for delivering disruptive solutions, and pairs it with frameworks and skills that span a wide spectrum of disciplines through new product development, digital and physical design, business skills, technological trends and more. With multiple formats of collaborations with expert professionals, The Innovation Programme aims to deliver an industry-ready crop of innovators, designers, technologists, and strategists.
MIT ID Innovation Programme admissions is a 3 step process. The process is designed to assess the candidates suitability for the programme in a holistic way. The admissions process involves the core programme team, the faculty members , industry professionals and programme alumni. The candidates are provided an opportunity to interact with the team and present their credentials, achievements, strengths, motivation and career plan. All the steps are designed methodically by a team of researchers and domain experts ensuring that the process is comprehensive but yet concise.
The programme is a highly rigorous and action based and expects the learners to stay engaged with the faculty and project work for a minimum of 12-14 hours a day and follows a 6 day week calendar. The learning happens in through a variety of modes such as classroom sessions, field trips, boot camps, workshops, Lab sessions , guest lectures, internships and live projects.
